In cooperation with “2S-Sophisticated Systems Limited“, HEGGEMANN develops hollow-fibre-membrane-modules.
Membrane technology permits a separation of undesirable by-products or a breakdown of a mixture into its single components.
By definition, membranes are selective barriers which permit the permeation of certain gases, vapours or liquids, while at the same time constricting or preventing the permeation of other components.

Membrane Module
The foto shows an industrial hollow-fibre-membrane-module with approx. 5000 fibres, each with a diameter of less than 0,5 mm. Such highly compact hollow-fibre-membrane-modules, depending on the membrane chosen, are applicable for various purposes, e.g. for a nitrogen enrichment (NEA = Nitrogen Enriched Air), a separation of CO2, for dehumidification or fuel dehydration.
